--Defensive end Jason Taylor figured that a month after having emergency surgery on his left calf a month ago Wednesday, he's still just 60 percent recovered. Taylor, who had 117 sacks in 11 years in Miami, has just one in five games as a Redskin. He missed the Dallas and Philadelphia games while recovering from the operation.
"Every day's another step in the right direction," Taylor said. "I'm eagerly anticipating the day when I feel like myself again. At times, I wish I felt like more of a part of it. Because of the injury, I don't sometimes. (But) as long we keep winning games, I don't care about the personal stuff. As long as you have more W's than you have L's, you're happy."
--Jason Campbell hasn't thrown an interception among his 202 passes in his seven games. Going back to last year, Campbell has a franchise record of 224 consecutive passes without an interception.
"Honestly I try to not think about it," Campbell said. "It's the longest streak I've ever had, but I try to go out, play the game and let the game come to me."
BY THE NUMBERS: 6 -- Consecutive games by the Redskins decided by less than touchdown.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "Clinton's talented. The question is always asked, can you just find running backs and put them in there. The answer is no. The running backs have to be talented. Don't belittle Clinton's talent." -- Reserve running back Shaun Alexander on starter Clinton Portis.
