 I really believe that Mike Shanahan won't be coaching next season, even though my friends at Bodog.com list him as a 3-2 favorite to be coaching the New York Jets. And if I am right, that means Shanahan, Bill Cowher and Mike Holmgren — three quality coaches with Super Bowl résumés — will be casting large shadows next season over every troubled coach in the NFL.
OK, Wade Phillips is shakily secure in Dallas for the moment. But that won't be the case next season if the Cowboys miss the playoffs again. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will have his pick of some very big names.
