If Chad Johnson ever decides to quit acting like a four-year-old girl who just dropped her ice cream cone, he should give the Jason Peters a call. Peters, the Bills’ starting left tackle, didn’t whine all spring about how , or demand to be traded, etc…
Instead, he kept quiet, let his agent explain to the front office that as the most important lineman on the roster, he’d prefer not to be the third highest paid, and when mandatory workouts rolled around, he stayed away in protest.
But hey, Ocho Cinco may be crazy, but he’s not stupid. Debatable.
Whatever, one of the guys making more than Peters, right tackle Langston Walker, weighs in on the holdout: “I wish he was here, but he has to do what he has to do. I can’t say whether or not what he’s doing is right or wrong, that’s not for me to decide. We’re here. Dockery and myself, and the rest of the offensive line, we’re working.” Said the dude who got $25 million over five years from the Bills last offseason. New offensive coordinator Turk Schonert is so worried about Peters that he’s considering moving Walker to the left side. Which, in turn, would make Trent Edwards worried. I suspect this’ll all get worked out before training camp, one way or the other.
In other Bills’ news, here’s a headline never published during the understandably brief J.P. Losman era. So yay for progress.
